Krishna Prakash, a 43-year-old artist hailing from Gulbarga, Karnataka, has carved a niche for himself in the realm of Surpur line art, a traditional form of miniature painting. Renowned as The Surpur Line Art Artist, Prakash's meticulous monochromatic creations breathe life into the heavily adorned gods and goddesses of Indian mythology. Despite being self-taught, his mastery of the art form is evident in the intricate details and exquisite craftsmanship of his pieces.
Having embarked on his artistic journey since the 6th grade, Krishna Prakash's passion for painting led him to immerse himself in the study of museum artworks, where he absorbed the techniques and processes with keen interest. Although his formal education at SB College, Gulbarga, took a backseat to his artistic pursuits, Prakash remained steadfast in his dedication to his craft.
