About Rakhi Jayeshbhai Soni

In the sun-kissed realms of Bhuj, and Kutch, Rakhi Jayeshbhai Soni stitches dreams into reality, carrying a rich legacy of 15 years in the delicate art of embroidery. Her craft was honed through a government course in Anjar, a profound initiation into the intricate world of embroidery. What sets her artistic journey aglow is the familial embrace—a legacy cherished and upheld, as her two daughters walk the same thread of creativity, weaving their aspirations into the fabric of their heritage. Schooled in Anjar at the KKMS Girls High School, her educational path paused in the 9th grade, but her thirst for knowledge led her to a three-year diploma course in stitching and embroidery, marking her transition from learning to teaching in the final year.

Rakhi's creations dance across a colorful canvas from embroidered dupattas, bags, and cushion covers, to blouse pieces. Her artistry thrives on an array of motifs, ranging from flowers to intricate borders and graceful figures. With a repertoire of 16 distinct embroidery styles, each piece speaks its own story, tailored to the nuances of blouses, dupattas, and various themes complemented by unique color palettes. Despite her mastery, recognition often stands behind a veil, elusive to those unaware of the intricate labor behind each creation. The challenges she faces aren't in her craft but in revealing its true worth to those unfamiliar with the artistry involved. Her vintage collection, a testimony to her craftsmanship, is often perceived as expensive, a niche few comprehend. Rakhi endeavors to not just create but to educate, instilling value into every stitch and design. Her dream to receive accolades is not merely for personal validation but a means to elevate the art itself, a testament to the immeasurable worth embedded within every embroidered tale—a tale she yearns to narrate to the world, a tale of intricacy that transcends mere imagination.
