About the Artwork +

Renowned artist Mohd. Bilal delicately illustrates Balaji with hanging diyas on both sides in his Zari Zardozi Work, reflecting artistic creativity, cultural symbolism, and devotion. Diyas are symbolic of light and knowledge in Hinduism. They represent the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. Depicting Lord Balaji with hanging diyas, emphasizes his role as the remover of darkness and the bestower of knowledge and wisdom. Zari zardozi is a traditional Indian embroidery technique that uses metallic threads and embellishments to create intricate designs. The use of diyas in zardozi art not only adds to the aesthetics but also connects the artwork to traditional customs and practices. The depiction of Lord Balaji with hanging diyas in zari zardozi art carries a deep spiritual and cultural significance, serving as a visual representation of auspiciousness, devotion, and the pursuit of spiritual knowledge.
