About the Artwork +
Sanjay Chitara portrays a mesmerising work of art that pays homage to two formidable goddesses,Durga Mata and Vahanvati Mata, each embodying unique qualities and significance in the realm of spirituality and cultural heritage. At the heart of this painting stands the formidable figure of Durga Mata, the Adi Shakti, or Supreme Power in Hinduism. Her divine presence radiates strength and awe as she rides majestically atop a powerful lion, a symbol of her indomitable strength and ferocity. Sanjay Chitara's intricate brushwork and vivid colours capture the essence of her awe-inspiring presence, evoking a sense of reverence and devotion among viewers. Accompanying Durga Mata is the divine presence of Vahanvati Mata, a goddess associated with sea merchants and seafarers. She represents the protector and guide of those who navigate the unpredictable seas. In this painting, Vahanvati Mata is portrayed with grace and authority, symbolising her dominion over the maritime domain. Her divine vehicle, the boat with soaring sails, is a testament to her guardianship over sailors. Sanjay Chitara's artwork masterfully combines the timeless power and grace of these two goddesses, creating a visual narrative that celebrates their roles as protectors and symbols of strength.
