About the Artwork +

This masterpiece seamlessly blends artistic creativity, linguistic symbolism, and spiritual devotion. This mesmerising sculpture, crafted with meticulous attention to detail, brings together the sacred representation of Lord Ganesh and the intricate characters of the Hindi alphabet. The artist, with remarkable skill and precision, intricately carved the letter to form a stunning representation of Lord Ganesh's divine form. The artist meticulously shapes the foam into the distinct features of Lord Ganesh, capturing his serene expression, gentle eyes, and the divine aura that surrounds him. The innovative aspect of this foam art lies in the transformation of Lord Ganesh's form into Hindi consonants.

Harsh Chhajed blue-tick

Harsh
Harsh Chhajed, a visionary artist, embraces the enchanting world of Samudri Jhag, also known as Sea-foam, a material as unique and unexplored as his artistic expression. Drawn to its delicate, feather-light nature, Harsh finds himself captivated by the possibilities it presents. Working with this medium demands immense patience and unwavering attention to detail, as each intricate design requires meticulous precision. The artist's dedication shines through as he devotes weeks, and sometimes even years, to perfecting a single carving, unveiling the extraordinary beauty hidden within.Samudri Jhag, originating from the depths of the sea, is a composition rich in Calcium and Magnesium. In its essence, it possesses an inherent fragility that echoes the fragility of life itself. In Northern India, this remarkable material was traditionally employed for cleaning glass window panes and tables, showcasing its versatility and gentle touch. Its delicate nature also lends itself to the art of confectionery, where it delicately enhances the softness and fluffiness of Rasagulla, a traditional sweet. Additionally, artisans in the realm of jewelry-making have come to appreciate the subtle elegance Samudri Jhag adds to small ornaments, elevating them to objects of extraordinary beauty.Harsh Chhajed's artistic journey extends beyond his choice of medium. Even his tools are a testament to his ingenuity and creativity. Each tool, meticulously self-customized, defies conventional expectations. From humble hairpins to the sharp precision of a shaving blade, from the minute details made possible by a ball pen refill to the delicate control afforded by injection needles, Harsh fearlessly pushes boundaries and explores uncharted territory. In the hands of this visionary artist, Samudri Jhag transcends its humble origins, emerging as a medium of boundless potential. Harsh Chhajed's artistry not only captures the delicate essence of this unique material but also breathes life into it, unveiling extraordinary creations that astonish and inspire

Sea Foam Art

A unique and one-of-a-kind art form, coming to you from the vibrant city of Udaipuar, Rajasthan: Seafoam (Dried Samudari Jhaag) Art, invented by National Awardee, Harsh Chhajed. Sea foam is composed of magnesium carbonate and calcium and is formed when saltwater is agitated, especially when it includes significant amounts of dissolved organic matter. It features a tough exterior and softer interiors.  An interesting fact: The insides of sea froth were used for cleaning windows of heritage buildings and palaces! Harsh Chhajed started his art journey at the age of 13, carving on small bits and pieces of sea foam that he managed to find. A self-taught artist whose unique work is getting him a lot of acclaim and clientele with his artworks reaching imminent personalities like Lata Mangeshkar!
