Raja Ravi Varma’s oleograph of Goddess Saraswati presents the deity in an enchanting and serene natural setting. The background is a rich landscape featuring a lush forest, an expansive open sky, and a beautiful lake. Goddess Saraswati, adorned in a soft pink saree, is seated gracefully on a stone platform. She is depicted with four arms, each carrying her traditional attributes. Her primary focus is on the veena, which she is playing with an expression of deep concentration and serenity. Her posture and demeanor radiate grace, wisdom, and tranquility.
In the foreground, a peacock, symbolizing beauty and elegance, is seated near her feet, adding to the overall aesthetic appeal of the composition. This is a limited edition capsule collection of original oleographs/ chromo lithographs from the 1920's and 1930's created at the original Raja Ravi Verma Printing Press. This collection of paintings was originally made by Raja Ravi Verma and artists like CS Ramanujam. The oleographs are embellished with original delicate Japanese paper silk and Zari work in real gold and silver which was done by artists in the same period. These oleopgraphs were created in limited numbers and thus each artwork is limited to only 1 in availability with us. Varma used oleographs on paper, a type of lithography that uses oil paints on paper to make his work available to the masses. He eventually sold the press to one of the Germans. The stone-printing procedure allows exact brushstrokes and patterns to be replicated on a large scale with multitudes of tones and diverse colour palette. The artist signature is on each of the artworks and each artwork will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from MeMeraki.

Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide an authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist.

The sizes mentioned are excluding the borders of the artwork.

Ready To Ship/ In Stock artworks are shipped in under 2 weeks. We only accept return requests for Ready to Ship/ In stock artworks placed within a week from date of delivery.

Made To Order artworks will take 2-3 weeks to be made and shipped once they are ready. Returns are not applicable on Made To Order artworks.
