Bagh printing, also known as alizarin printing, is a traditional technique originating from the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. These relief prints are achieved from wood blocks that are inspired by the iconography of the Bagh Caves and local motifs prevalent across communities residing on the banks of the Baghini river. Natural dying materials such as alum, goat dung, raw salt, jaggery and Myrobalan are used to achieve the alternating solid and outline designs. This range of co-ordinated masks with stoles is a limited edition capsule collection 'Jiyo for MeMeraki' , hand block printed by artist Wahab and has been created by the Jiyo! Antyoday Vastra Utpadan V and V S S Marya in Bagh, Madhya Pradesh.
