About the Artwork +
Let this exquisite Bal Krishna, Yashoda and Balram at Mandapa Pattachitra Painting transport you to a realm of artistry, where tradition meets innovation, and the soul finds solace in the beauty of storytelling through colors and patterns. Essayed with meticulous precision on Pattau canvas using natural colors, this masterpiece showcases the enchanting beauty of the age-old art form. Set against a captivating blue backdrop, this painting immerses you in a tale of divine playfulness and familial love. Pattachitra, an ancient Indian art form originating from Odisha, narrates mythological stories through intricate brushwork and vibrant pigments. The interplay of contrasting shades, with the serene black and white figures gracefully brought to life, evokes a sense of balance and harmony. Adorned with traditional motifs and patterns, this painting reflects the rich cultural heritage of Odisha. Every stroke and detail reveals the artist's skillful craftsmanship, capturing the essence of the divine child Krishna, his doting mother Yashoda, and the playful presence of his brother Balram. The calming hue symbolizes transcendence, spirituality, and eternity, inviting you to delve deeper into the divine narrative portrayed.
