About the Artwork +

In Shersingh Bhabor's Bhil style painting, the central motif is the Tree of Life, brought to life through intricate patterns of colorful dots, a hallmark of Bhil artistry. Surrounding the tree, Bhabor skillfully integrates elements of nature and life. Two deers are positioned gracefully on either side of the tree, birds flutter and hives of bees are depicted strategically, emphasizing the interconnectedness of all living beings in this ecosystem. Adding to the lively scene, two men are portrayed at the base, engaged in dancing and watering the tree.
At the bottom of the tree, a colorful rooster is depicted, hinting at the landscape of morning rituals. The rooster, a symbol of dawn and new beginnings, anchors the scene at a specific time of day, enriching the narrative with a temporal dimension. Altogether, through the use of vivid colors and meticulous dot patterns, Bhabor not only celebrates the interconnectedness of the natural world but also reflects the cultural richness and traditions of the Bhil community
