Kailash Devi is Molela’s first female Terracotta artist who learnt this art from her husband Dinesh Molela, a 26th generation Molela Terracotta artist. Despite social stigma, she continued honing her skills and soon became a master in Molela’s special hollow relief work. Devi has created plaques on religious deities, rural life and been part of several new initiatives like Terracotta jewellery-making to promote this ancient craft.
