About the Artwork +
Gudiya Devi, in her Sujani Art artfully adorns the Varmala scene with colorful stitches using cotton and silk threads, on a fabric named khadi. The Varmala ceremony is a central ritual in Indian weddings, particularly in the Hindu tradition. It involves the exchange of garlands between the bride and groom, symbolizing their acceptance of each other as life partners. In Sujani art, depicting this scene signifies the union of two souls and the beginning of their marital journey. Sujani art is a reflection of the cultural heritage and traditions of Bihar and the surrounding areas. By including the Varmala scene, artisans pay homage to the region's rich cultural tapestry and preserve these customs for future generations. The Varmala scene provides an opportunity for intricate and colorful embroidery work, adding aesthetic value to the artwork.

We ship worldwide, Our Prices are inclusive of GST/Taxes in India. For International Orders, any specific custom duties you may encounter in your home country during the delivery has to borne by the buyer.
For all artworks expect Lippan and Terracotta, No additional charges are applicable for domestic deliveries. For International Orders shipping charges of ₹2500 INR are applicable.

Shipping and Returns +
All artworks are packed and couriered securely in a tube.
Ready To Ship/ In Stock artworks are shipped in under 2 weeks. We only accept return requests for Ready to Ship/ In stock artworks placed within a week from date of delivery.
Made To Order artworks will take 2-3 weeks to be made and shipped once they are ready. Returns are not applicable on Made To Order artworks.
