Dashavatar: The Ten Avatars of Vishnu in Kalamkari by Harinath N.

This beautiful collection of ten individual paintings by Harinath N. presents the Dashavatara (the ten principal incarnations of Lord Vishnu) in the pure, traditional Kalamkari style, with each piece executed with a kalam (bamboo pen) using natural black dye on cotton fabric, sparingly touched with a gold-colored dye, notably emphasising the outline stage of the master artist's skill.
The series begins with the early incarnations: Matsya (The Fish), where Vishnu emerges, fully adorned, from a colossal fish; Kurma (The Tortoise), showing the deity seated on a large tortoise, supporting the cosmos; Varaha (The Boar), depicted as the powerful, boar-headed form saving the Earth Goddess; Narasimha (The Man-Lion), captured in his fierce act of tearing apart the demon Hiranyakashipu; and Vamana (The Dwarf), shown as a dwarfed Brahmin before his cosmic expansion. The later, heroic incarnations follow: Parashurama, the warrior sage with his signature axe and beard; Lord Rama (The Perfect King), seated and receiving the homage of the kneeling Hanuman while flanked by Lakshmana; Balarama, the elder brother of Krishna identified by his plough and royal, bearded form; Lord Krishna (The Divine Cowherd), standing under a tree, playing his flute with a cow nearby, celebrating his pastoral divinity; and finally Kalki (The Future Incarnation), depicted as a righteous warrior mounted upon a magnificent horse, carrying a sword to symbolize the dawn of a new age. 
This entire set is a powerful testament to Harinath N.'s skill, expertly preserving the mythological narrative tradition of Kalamkari art through masterful freehand execution. It is a one-of-a-kind artwork, offering a timeless aesthetic perfect for any discerning art enthusiast.

Domestic Orders

All prices are inclusive of GST and applicable Indian taxes.

• We offer free shipping on orders above ₹999 for all artworks, except Lippan, Terracotta and Thikri.
• A flat shipping rate of ₹249 applies to orders below ₹999.

Lippan, Terracotta and Thikri

Shipping is charged on a per-kilogram basis, due to the delicate and bulky nature of these items.

International Orders

• A flat shipping charge of ₹4,000 applies to international artwork orders.
• Customs duties, taxes, or import charges in the buyer’s country are not included and must be borne by the buyer.
• Shipping rates for Lippan, Terracotta and Thikri artworks will be calculated based on weight.

Additonal Shipping Charges

Extra charges may be applicable for both domestic and international deliveries in the following cases:

• If the article requires additional packaging (such as a wooden crate) to ensure safe shipping due to its delicate nature.
• Custom-framed artworks.
• Artworks where shorter side exceeds 36 inches or Decor items with any side over 35 inches.
• If you request express shipping. Contact support to check availability.
• The order contains more than two different product types.

All artworks are handmade and couriered securely packed in a tube.
