The Usta Miniature on a black HDMR base by Pankaj Kumar is a striking example of the Usta school from Bikaner, where the traditional Persian-style motif is elevated through a monochromatic, high-contrast aesthetic. Set within a deep, black Rosewood frame that mirrors the tone of the background, the piece focuses entirely on the interplay between the dark field and the golden-toned Naqqashi work.

The central composition features a vertical flowering plant that blooms with perfect symmetry. In this specific work, the color palette is restrained to varying shades of gold and bronze, which gives the floral elements a metallic, luminescent quality against the matte black surface. The Mehrab motif is created not through a painted border, but by the physical shape of the board and frame itself, highlighting the architectural roots of the Usta tradition.

The Naqqashi technique is particularly prominent here; the embossed texture of the petals and leaves creates a play of light and shadow that adds depth to the two-dimensional surface. Each leaf is intricately detailed with fine, sweeping lines that suggest movement, while the flowers at the apex and sides are rendered with multiple layers of shading to indicate volume. Domestic Orders

All prices are inclusive of GST and applicable Indian taxes.

• We offer free shipping on orders above ₹1999 for all artworks, except Lippan, Terracotta and Thikri.
• A flat shipping rate of ₹499 applies to orders below ₹1999.

Lippan, Terracotta and Thikri

Shipping is charged on a per-kilogram basis, due to the delicate and bulky nature of these items.

International Orders

• A flat shipping charge of ₹4,000 applies to international artwork orders.
• Customs duties, taxes, or import charges in the buyer’s country are not included and must be borne by the buyer.
• Shipping rates for Lippan, Terracotta and Thikri artworks will be calculated based on weight.

Extra charges may be applicable for both domestic and international deliveries in the following cases:

• If the article requires additional packaging (such as a wooden crate) to ensure safe shipping due to its delicate nature.
• Custom-framed artworks.
• Artworks where shorter side exceeds 36 inches or Decor items with any side over 35 inches.

• The order contains more than two different product types.
