Today, from the master of Gond art, a tutorial from Venkat Raman Singh Shyam Ji. Incredibly grateful that our wonderful artists are taking the time to share their art with all of us, patchy network notwithstanding , Venkat ji was painstakingly able to share these videos with us to be able to share with you. He has painted a beautiful Nandi(bull)- Venkat ji has incorporated new art techniques like wash painting in his work and you can see that his work really stands apart. A fun fact about Gond art - the patterns with which the artists complete the artwork are the unique signature of each artist, for e.g. Venkat ji's pattern is a Bindu(dot) and a half moon (semicircle), representing his village , and his community, how beautiful.
