The People of Raghurajpur ~ our work with our pattachitra artists took us to their village Raghurajpur, where more than 200 families practice this intricate traditional art. Stories are abundant in every corner of this village where music, dance and art are part of the daily lives of it's inhabitants. While there are hardships and poverty (this area was also quite badly impacted by cyclone fani last year), but there is hope ~ hope , that shines through in the discipline of their daily practice of art , through the songs they sing everyday, through their dance. And couldn't we all do with some hope right now. Through these videos we hope you can catch a glimpse into the lives of some of these beautiful people of Rahgurajpur and their hopes and dreams.
