The Vaishnavite tradition, particularly the Pushtimarga sect, observes Gopashtami, the sacred festival honoring cows. Derived from "Gopa" (herder) and "Ashtami" (eighth day), it falls on the eighth day of the waxing moon in Kartik (October-November), commemorating the day Krishna's father entrusted him with the cow herd, marking his transition from calf protector to responsible adolescent. Cows, revered since the Vedic period as providers of wealth and sustenance, are central to this celebration. During Gopashtami, temples feature the Vatsalya Bhava Swaroop of Shrinathji, a youthful form adorned with peacock feathers and precious jewels.
Vishnu, Indra, Shiva, and Brahma observe the auspicious event from the celestial realm. The painting's background features a forest of mango, banana, and kadamba trees. The foreground depicts the Yamuna River, adorned with blooming lotuses and numerous fish, also witnessing this momentous occasion. Twenty-six side panels are included; the two base panels illustrate the Goswamis' education in the various leelas of Shri Krishna, while the remaining twenty-four panels depict twenty-four of Shri Krishna's leelas, each portrayed through the Goswamis' actions. Numerous cows hasten to hear the enchanting music of Shri Krishna's flute as he awaits their return from grazing.

For Lippan and Terracotta Artworks, We charge a Shipping rate on a per Kilogram basis.

*Extra charges may apply for both domestic and international deliveries in the following cases:

• International artwork orders where the artwork's smaller side measures more than 44 inches.
• Orders with more than 2 items in the cart.

All artworks are packed and couriered securely in a tube.

Ready To Ship/ In Stock artworks are shipped in under 2 weeks. We only accept return requests for Ready to Ship/ In stock artworks placed within a week from date of delivery. However, no returns can be accepted for international deliveries.

Made To Order artworks will take 2-3 weeks to be made and shipped once they are ready. Returns are not applicable on Made To Order artworks.
